Seriously, It has been nearly a year since a great new post has graced iliveinsuccess.com…

Granted, I have had some issues personally and professionally and some major philosophical constraints put me into a brief crises with the world I have come to know and cherish.

In the last 7 months, I have done a miraculous amount of progress. I have vastly exploded my personal network from several small groups in the internet marketing and currency trading to a localised social circle, including individuals in many different industries. I have built websites for well known personalities and even have a few more in the near future as wel.

I have sold off my properties in the Currency Trading/Forex Niche, including landing pages to various product campaigns that were ran in conjunction with NC Media and several other JV’s. Ultimately sold off the rights and site to GoForexTrade.com, my long standing currency trading blog, which has seen several major iterations, including the most recent news format (which hasn’t seen an update since May. WHY NOT?)

I have also shut down promoting clickbank products and started opting for Cost Per Action offers on networks such as Azoogleads and CrispAds. The profitability was short lived, due to the nature of the offers and now am selling those assets off as well to look into a new stack of building blocks to work with. The next major thing will be a project with my brother and a couple of Joint Venture plans with several individuals I have met locally. You will get to know them in the near future. One involves website design and another is for lead generation. That is all I can tell you at this point.

What is this “Painful Transparency” that I describe to my facebook friends?

Well, the reality here is that the mindset of Thomas Howell is a crazy one, and I need to be brutally honest and upfront with everybody here. Not that I have not been honest with anybody, but there is going to be some more truths revealed about me as we write more blog posts here at ILIVEINSUCCESS.COM. The reason why I am doing this, is to let you know who the real Thomas Howell is and what I am really up to.

Now I am not up to any wrongdoing or negligence, so do not think that I am one of these crazy creepy punkasses who comes up out of nowhere and starts shit. Not me anyway. I am looking to exponentially grow the network and build more opportunities as time passes by. If I feel that you might be of benefit to yourself and a great benefit of working into a joint venture or some network, I will persue you and ask politely.

I am a very energetic and positive personality. Not energetic as in physicially fit, but energetic in having a drive to make things happen and live a great life! I am insanely sociable and talkative. I do not want to know your business, but if we have something in common that could make both of us a success, I will introduce and press the issue.

What is your long term goals?

This week, will be a way less controversial topic than last weeks installment of Get Your Shit Together Thursday. We will be focusing on persistence, and how it is best applied.

We all can agree that life is not easy, and it will never be. Life will not be fair, and there is no intention for it to be fair. Out of those who are successful at what they do in life, alot of them had a very high failure rate until they got to where they are today.

You ask me “They failed many times?” Absolutely!!! The problem is that in the public eye, the failures are not really mentioned or brought forth. A person’s future success is not going to thrive off of past failures, so why should they be mentioned???

Instead, for the most successful person that is out there, persistance is the key to overstepping the failures and looking to slightly change their pitch or methods of doing business. Believe it or not, it’s these constant reinventing and revising our methods to madness through learning from our failures, and getting back up to try again.

A very good handful of case studies of persistence I could recommend:

1. Former Virginia governor Mark R. Warner, was a pioneer businessman well before his political career. Governor Warner happened to fail at a few different business ventures. At the discouragement of his family, Governor Warner, which had failed his first business at 6 weeks, his second business at 3 months, had on his third try to unturn a four leaf clover, in the form of Cellular  Phone franchise licenses. With his obtained knowledge, Governor Warner invested in a cellular breakthrough, which eventually became NEXTEL. His adventures netted his in the neighborhood of $200 Million!

2. Chris Gardner was an assistant to Doctors, and was a medical device salesperson for a San Franciscan based company named CMS. Chris Gardner had a stronger than thou will, being he went through abuse from both parents, and issues with family.

One day, Chris Gardner sees a shiny red Ferrari 308 QV while leaving the hospital after a sales call. Asks the guy how he got the Ferrari. The guy replies and says that he is a stockbroker. The rest is history. Persistence through the tough times, getting jailed for tax issues, kicked out of his house for non payment of rent, and just having that hungrier than heck desire to win really shows that someone can come out of the worst and be great!

Chris Gardner’s biopic is the Pursuit of Happyness, which Chris’ role is played by Will Smith. Will Smith did a stellar performance, and for those who need inspiration, WATCH IT!

Both Chris and Mark have proved to us, time and time again, that persistence pays off! No matter how many times you fuck up, there will be a time where everything pays off and you will be hopefully laughing at your current situation.

Kick ass and Keep your chin up!!!

Remember: Stay Hungry, Stay Foolish!!!

Interesting “Get your shit together Thursday” this week.

Ever get that situation where you are already grown up, gone to college, or trying to find yourself, and you have family nagging the crap out of you to do something with your life?

Or maybe you have a father, or a mother, who wants you to be something in their frame of mind, and totally devoid of personal choice. For example, Your dad wants you to be captain of the football team and maybe go to school to be a douchebag professional like he is?

Or Maybe your mom is wanting to live visions of grandeur, and quite possibly chasing some pipedream that just doesn’t seem to be realistic no matter what possibilities are out there. And due to that, maybe there is some lack of financial and emotional stability.

Anyway, I am not generalizing, but you realize that family has a strong influence on some individuals and that sometimes it gets way out of control. Sometimes it really interferes with your persona and lifestyle, and sometimes it drives you insane.

Sometimes ignoring their influence will end up having them shunning you. Kinda like some folks in my family. My family has come from a long line of “Get out of high school, then have a family and settle mentality.” I am a bit too urban for that. They just cannot compute my love for the finer things in life, Vespa Scooters and such.

I decided to live an Urban lifestyle, where people want to have fun, stay single for a bit be career driven, and enjoy the atmosphere and what’s to live for before hunkering down to a family and settling for a depressing road ahead which I probably wouldn’t enjoy.

Sometimes it is a tough decision to see where to take action. You have to look deep within yourself and what you really want to do with your life. Maybe you really do not need your family to become who you want to be. Maybe just visiting them for the holidays and birthdays and such are ok.

Or maybe you are going to stick with the family ideal and live that lifestyle. To each their own.

But in the case that you have to tell them no, mentally and emotionally prepare yourself for a possible long road of issues, but somehow learn to overcome them, and MOVE ON!!!

With restarting the posts on this blog after a depressing bout of “Getyourshittogetheritius” I have decided to eliminate the thursday product review segment, and replace it with a new, bold approach on self-help and human development.

WE will actually call this segment, “Get Your Shit Together Thursdays.” sounds as entertaining as a Thursday nightclub event party, but we will not hang you over, and you will leave stimulated without the booze trip!

So what is this Mindfuck that kills us all? What is the cause for all of those O Shit?/O RLY? moments that we all have? Why are we walking around, thinking about what ails us, where sometimes, we think the good things are coming, and other times, we think utterly as if we were wasting space on this world.

While watching the Eagles Defense blow through Roethlisberger’s Pocket like a coin through a busted pants pocket, I had a good talk with my cousin over a couple of beers, wondering about why sometimes I feel like I am wasting space.

My cousin brought up a good point by saying “Are your priorities straightened out?” As if I could really answer him, I told him “Not really, but kinda evolving around changes, shifts in social threads, and ever changing times, and weathering them not as good as I really wanted to.”

Then he reinforced as roethlisberger got sacked for an unprecedented 8th time, “Well, if you have your priorities all together, you would weather changes and shifts around you without a problem. These shifts would end up working better in your favor.” He goes on to say that for the longest time priorities were not a big thing in his life, and that he felt a bit misguided and lost in the maze until a few years ago, and looking back, it has really helped him out in the long run.

I was quite taken aback by his words, and thought to myself, “When the fuck am I going to get things together in the priorities department?”

The steps that I need to follow, and maybe you if such situation exists in your life:

1. Assume the world ended tomorrow or you were sickened with a terminal sickness that gave you a few weeks to live. Think about what your contributions are to this world, and what you could of done to make them better.

2. Think also about what you want to get out of life. I am not looking for an instant answer as there are sure to be plenty of things to think from the back of your mind. This will take a day or two, and conjure up what you want to do, rather it is travel the world, raise a family, race a car through the streets of Milan, whatever you want.

3. Assure yourself what you want to do with your life, and plan. Take into account the current scenarios and situations, and see how you can improve your current situation and make them work for you as opposed to working against you. Make sure that you set realisitic goals, timelines, and dreamlines to get where you want to be, in time increments, and certain values realistically.

4. More to come, but those three should get you started in the path of getting your shit together, and put a bullish stance on the crap that seems to get in the way.
