Welcome to another installment of Ferraris of the week, and this week we are going to cover Racing Ferraris!
Ferrari has a racing legacy that covers over 60 years, with success coming in many different forms of racing. From the numerous World titles in Formula one, to the classic battles against the likes of Ford, Jaguar, and other worldly Marques in the 24 hours of Le Mans, to GT class and club events, Ferrari’s legacy has one like no other.
Ferrari #5, is a 360 Challenge, which is a Racing version of the popular 360 Modena.
Comes with all of the trimmings of a truly respectable race car. From the red painted Racing spoke wheels, to the perforated Challenge rear grill, to sponsor decals throughout, to the Fly Giallo PPG Paint Job.
Despite the car being a track only, we only see 123 miles, and was kept an maintained by a Ferrari Dealership. Knowing such, this Ferrari is well taken care of, and ready to hit a few laps with it’s new owner.
Ferrari #4, is another Ferrari 360 Challenge! This time, it is a race car for two. Perfect for rallies, and giving your friends the ride of their lives at track day, This Ferrari has chrome racing spoke wheels, and is painted in Rossa Corsa. Sold by a private owner, with 9320 miles, this Ferrari at $170,000 seems to be overpriced, in comparison to the #5 listing trying to sell their 360 Challenge for around $90K.
Ferrari #3, is one for the ages, A Ferrari F40 from 1990. Powered by a three litre, Twin Turbo F1 derived V8, with 471 Horsepower to boot. Of course a F40 is not an F40 without the obligatory Rosso Corsa paint scheme, and F40 Wing! Under 3200 miles, and despite being a car of nearly 20 years, this beauty ages gracefully in the Ferrari Stables and still grabs attention wherever it roams.
Absolutely in pure, pristine condition, and the asking bid is $600,000.
Ferrari #2, Another Supercar, two generations after the F40, the Enzo Ferrari! The seller claims with 975 miles, that this beauty was never tracked or raced! How can you NOT track a Ferrari! You have to remember folks, that a Ferrari is MEANT to be raced! Ferrari’s are not to be babied, but to be RACED!!!! This, car, like the last two, is in Rosso Corsa, The Red color that Ferrari Enthusiasts have come to known. Powered by a six litre V-12, going over 660 HP, topping out at just over 210 mph, this car just beats anything on the track.
Ferrari #1, And damn, do we have one to top the racing edition this week! A 1956 Ferrari Testarossa 500! Yep! with the first bid set for a staggering $5,000,000, you are betting on the bad ol grandaddy of the pack! One of the first Ferrari’s to the shot heard round the world! There were only 20 made in the whole entire world, and has ran races at leMans, and won races at Laguna Seca to name a few. Also a great list of Drivers from Richie Ginther, Pete Lovely, and Von Neuman! Everything is 100% ORIGINAL, to the paint, engine, design, Wire knock off wheels, and papers to go with the car too!
Well, now you have some more Ferrari Racing Smarts after going through this edition of Ferrari’s of the week! Have a great weekend and see you for Weight Loss Monday!
RACE ON!!!!
